BEST PLACES TO VISIT IN DUPAGE COUNTY

MY TOP PICK IS DANADA

Danada is my personal favorite, this is where I go for long walks.  My family had weddings here, my late stepfather and cousin planted trees near Danada House.  If you love nature, long walks, biking, horses, picnics or just getting out of the busy life you’ll be glad you came!  Be sure to visit Lucky Debonair's stall and see the track he trained on.  Check out all of the family oriented events that are held here.

MY 2ND PICK IS CANTIGNY

Gorgeous Cantigny in Wheaton is a must see this summer!  You will pay a small fee per car to get in, however it's worth every cent.  There is a playground for the kids, picnic areas, food court, and acres of unbelievable beauty.  Learn about Robert R McCormick HERE.  His home is no longer open for tours.  This is also a popular place to have weddings and graduation parties.  This is really a tie for first pick, it was hard to choose.  Check out my personal pictures.

MY 3RD PICK IS CENTENTIAL BEACH

Last but in no way least is CENTENTIAL BEACH in Naperville.  I hung out here nearly every day in the summer when I grew up.  Back then they gave you a $10.00 beach pass that you sewed onto your suit.  My girlfriend, sister and I lightly sewed it onto our suits and brought a needle and thread then broke it off in the locker room gave it to the next through the fence and we sewed it on until we were ALL in!!!  Ten dollars was a lot to us in those days.

This is a super place and they have really done a lot to keep it up.  I'm happy to see it looks just like it used to when we were young.  They wouldn't let me in to take pictures for my blog so I did my best and have some nice ones.  Located along the gorgeous Naperville River Walk, you will find Centenial Beach.  It's where I learned to swim way back in 1969.  My personal pics.

I hope you enjoyed this blog and will have some new places to visit this summer.  Great link for other places to visit.

By Jackie Beardsley WHAT JACKIE DOES TO GET HOMES SOLD! When Sellers had to move and the home was left vacant, this is how I helped them reach their goals in just a few days.  Above is my MLS photo of the kitchen which beautifully shows off their hard work. When I was asked to help out of state Sellers get their home sold quickly, it was a challenge well worth the hard work ahead.  First, I did a CMA for selling the property AS IS (picture below).

By Jackie Beardsley Staging your home for sale-is it necessary? There are many factors that go into making a decision about whether or not you need to stage your home.  Is it a buyers market or a sellers market?  What is your competition, the comparable properties in your area.  How much staging is necessary, if at all?  These are things that your agent will determine and help you make an informative decision. Not all agents are alike.  Some may believe strongly that it is going to be beneficial to stage your home and will show you the stats to back it up.  The stats are true BUT it can be misleading and the stats used may be irrelevant to your situation. Every home and the sellers situation are unique.  Staging DOES help but that doesn't mean you will have to hire a professional stager and pay thousands of dollars. If we are in a buyers market you will want to lead the market and not be chasing after it, that is how you will lose money.  Mo...
