CHILDREN'S HALLOWEEN EVENTS AT CANTIGNY

This is one of THE most beautiful places to visit in DuPage County!!!  I brought my grandson here and he was thrilled with the park, the ice cream treat and the many great sculptures throughout the park.

Cantigny Park is located in Wheaton and sits on 500 gorgeous acres of prairie, parks and museums.  It's located 30 miles West of Chicago.

I'm not sure if they will tour the McCormick mansion again, I've toured it in the past but currently they are doing upkeep and putting in a gorgeous brick paver walkway around this spectacular home site.

If you want to find something fun to do with the kids, come with a prepared picnic lunch or eat at the eatery located on the grounds, they also have a Mexican food caravan (at least when we were there).




Cantigny

In the late 1800's this country estate (known as Red Oaks) was owned by Joseph Medill.

After his death the estate passed onto his grandson, Colonel McCormick.

This weekend we'll have beautiful weather in the 70's, so if you're looking for something to do now or anytime, this is one of my top picks of my personal favorites!




It will cost $5.00 per car to enter park on weekdays and $10.00 on weekends.
